Susan致中国学生的一封信
Dear Student,
Please let me introduce myself. My name is Susan Dencklau. I am a recent graduate of the University of Redlands with a doctorate degree in Leadership for Educational Justice. For the past 13 years I have been devoted to helping college and high school students choose a college or university that would provide the best fit for their chosen goal. As a former student assistant working with college students studying for their degree, or as a high school counselor working with students beginning their journey in higher education and as a professor teaching College Admissions Counseling, I have seen the joy and the struggles that students experience when entering a college or university.
Therefore, I pledge my continuing effort and support in helping you achieve admission to the school that will provide for you the education to reach your career goal. We will work together to obtain information that will help in finding the right major of study. Gathering all the information, such as official transcripts and test scores needed for applications to schools will be essential. We will also work together in providing the colleges of your choice with admissions statements and letters of recommendation that will make your application worthy of consideration. Through honest communication, either through , SKYPE, or telephone we will get to know each other very personally and make your college application process as stress free as possible.
However, this will require effort on your part as well. Most importantly we must have an honest relationship. As your consultant, I will ask you questions that may sound unrelated to your college search, but I assure you the answers you give will help me understand your personal goals. Remember there are over 4000 public and private post-secondary schools in the United States. Whether searching for an undergraduate program or a graduate program it is necessary that you strive for the best grades in your classes and continue to improve your English skills. You must be open-minded about the colleges you chose to apply r. As a graduate student, you will only be accepted if you live up to the standards of the school of your choice. They want those students who will enhance their research programs.
I hope your U.S. University experience will provide you with a sense of pride and accomplishment. Your college experience begins now, whether in high school or college. Focus on grades and extra-curricular activities. Prepare yourself by improving your analytical and leadership skills which can be demonstrated through work experience or volunteering for research programs in your area of study. Good luck and may your journey to success be filled with adventure.
Sincerely,
Susan Dencklau, Ed.D.
