分析：很多同学把这题误解为英国小学生数学成绩比日本学生高，所以选NO。这题正确理解为：英国小学生数学得分跨度比日本大，比较的是range of achievement,在原文but后面那句话：but there was also a largerproportion...variation...greater, 意为：但是英国学生低分比例更大，而且，顺便说一句，英国学生分数的变化也比日本学生更大。range与variation同意，wider与greater同意，所以选YES。

分析：这题很多同学误选IV: Governmentauthorities' instructions.选错的同学是因为government在原文出现过，并且authorities这个词反复出现。此类题重要的是看懂选项，一般选项以两种方式出现：名词性短语和句子。如果是名词性短语必须理解核心名词的意思即作者强调的重点是哪一方面。IV选项核心名词是instructions（指令，指示），强调其重要性，译为：政府机构指令。instructions的同意词为decisions, 但是后面的but 推翻了前面指令的重要性，所以肯定不选IV, 在最后一句话It would have beendifficult...without the support and understanding of district authorities.强调的是地区机构的支持和理解，所以选X: Co-operation ofdistrict officials。
² 摘要填空题

分析：大部分同学可以做对Q8和Q9, 但会答错Q10, 原因在于很多同学认为summary填空题是有序的。Summary题特点是比较集中在2-3个段落，但不一定有序，其次一般是名词。所以只要定位准确，找个名词填上即可。Q10定位词有：they, energy, wind, skill, 所以定位点应在第二句：Harnessing the wind would not ....。Harness与use同意替换，意为：利用，使用，所以是名词sailors。题目意思是：他们知道如何使用风能，从他们作为水手所拥有的技能中得知。原文意思：利用风能对于像埃及人技能如此精湛(accomplished)的水手来说不是个问题。

分析：绝大多数同学会误选A或者B, 原因在于对问题和选项的理解错误。选择题问题有两种形式：句子补充完整和回答问题。此题是句子补充完整，选完后同学们可以把句子连接起来理解，A选项意思：这个宣称（即在学校没有欺凌现象）在许多学校再也不是真的，是完全否定。原文是almost certainly untrue是部分否定，所以A错误。B选项意思：这个宣称事实上不是由许多学校做出来的。但是根据原文这个宣称就是许多学校说的，所以B选项错误。正确为选项D. lack of knowledge andresources,与原文notmuch was known about the topic, and little help...同意，help表示资源的意思。整句话意思为：对欺凌话题不了解以及老师所获得帮助（资源）很少。

分析：这题大多数同学会错选B。很多同学都能看懂原文句话的意思，即：你所听到的只是冰山一角。但绝大多数同学理所当然地把B误解为：经常看见nickel sulphide failure事件发生。但其实意思是相反的，即很少有人看到这种事件发生。第二句话'No-one wants bad press.'很多学生把press误理解为动词“按”，“压”，但press在这句话中是名词，意为‘新闻’，整句话理解为：没人想要坏的新闻。因为坏的新闻被抑制了，所以听到就比较少，所以正确选项是A。publicity意为‘宣传’，suppress意为‘抑制’，整句话意为：关于nickel sulphide failure的宣传被抑制了，说明了没有人想要坏的新闻。
